RAF Portreath Motor Sprint - 22nd 23rd Sept 07

The RAF are launching the RAF Portreath Motor Sprint, This will NOT be a Celtic Marauders event.

Times have moved on and we, the RAF and those helping, are trying to rebuild the event into a full weekend of entertainment. We have been in touch with many of the local traders, to get them to join in, and most are looking positively at it.

Timing
An important note on timing for the sprint. LA Racing will be providing and running timing gear at the event. This will provide; reaction times, 60ft times, 1/8 mile times and speed, 1/4 mile times and speed and most importantly: PRINTED TICKETS!

Clubs Involved are;

Pendennis Club
Mustang Owners Club
Route 38 Club

We are also in touch with custom car and hot rod clubs to provide some static displays as well as trying to organise some dragsters.

The RAF is only too aware of the issues of timing and print outs, this will be addressed before the event runs.

We are also aware of the issues with number, and type, of cars running. The intention is to ‘invite’ a selection of specials to run in the car section. Sorry but wont include Novas and Escorts, unless fitted with a Big Block 454 in³ (7.4 L) Chevy engine. You get the idea.

The plan is to fill the site with as much as possible, something for everyone.
