Use or Lose

I had an e-mail from this Forum saying it's not being used. I agree with him.
I'm basically an outsider to your club and just coming on to help keep it active.

Running a Forum takes a little time and effort...I know because i run one.
It's very disheartening when the people your providing the service for don't use it and show little or no interest. This forum will only work if you POST on it, otherwise it might as well not be here.

My suggestion is to run a Poll with a KEEP IT / CLOSE IT vote option. Run it to Say December 31st 2007.

Thats my input on the subject, But like i said it's not really any of my Business. You can lead a Horse to Water but you can't make him drink.

I had the same mail.
It would be a shame to see it close, (even though it's only used in frequently).
I suppose I am just as much to blame as anyone.
It's always log in, nothing new here then, log out.
Essjay / Moderators, would it be against HD hangout policy to put a post on there to promote this site?
What else can we do to
1. Promote this site?
2. Generate interest and enthusiasm amongst those of us registered?

Yours in embarrassed apathy,
Oddball.

Yes I agree I haven't used this site much of late myself, and it would be a shame to lose it, especially after all the hard work that has been put into setting it up by admin. So c'mon all you browsers out there who just log-on to see "wos-hapnin", just post a a reply or comment, it matters not how small they all count, and it will keep the host happy that this FREE space is being used and not just left to die through lack of use. Don't be shy.!!!!!!!!!

Thoughts on the website

Anything listed here is not intended as a slant on anyones efforts in keeping this site active or anyone that uses it - but here goes.

1. If people aren't used to using the internet for fun, research or simple communication then you can't make them.

2. If someone is not familiar with forums then this one can appear a little daunting, as it has so many (too many in my opinion) sections. The Plume can deal with most of the general posts, including rallies, rides and events. Maybe a section for Jokes and one for Classifieds and an administrator one for general instruction on site usage. I found it labourious trawling through all the sections. However, should I really have put all this in the suggestions forum?

3. It might also be good to have events/rallies appearing on a home page with a few pics of recent events.

4. I was a regular user of the last website but got bored as there were only 3 of us regularly posting and most of these posts were sent to each other as email or texts. So unfortunately my boredom continued into this new site as well, which is probably why this is my first visit in a couple of months and only my 3rd or 4th post.

5. I hate the reverse contrast thing Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
